Description

I came back to home. A neighbourhood capture which is one of my favorite. It has some work on colors but the original image is not what it looks like in real life ! It is likely the edited version which is close to real colors. ( or color, just green :p )

As for the composition, i prefered a centered one. I'd like to know your opinions about it.

Thanks for spending your time. Time is invaluable. ;)

Maybe something like this:
http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b319/moserBUCKET/temp/final3_mod.jpg

  • Cropped off the white background buildings.
  • Flipped it horizontally.
  • Cropped so it gets to be more off center.
  • Tried to straighten the end of the walkway.
  • Worked the highlights using manual levels.
Just a thought... :p

Moser adressed some of the issues
but i don't like his crop, i like your composition better, even if the left part is unbalanced compared to the right part...
the end of the walkway isnt straight, thats perturbing :)
nice try thought, keep it up :) +7

I really like the colors in this photo and how i can feel the depth of the path.

Background elements near the top are a bit distracting.

Could do better in a vertical format instead of this horizontal representation.

I agree with Patrick on cropping the top to rid the building. I don't mind the centered composition though. Great colors, love the greens!

I like the perspective. The building should go and so should the white tree to the left. Both are sistracting.

Something is missing in this photo for me. I can't pinpoint it. I've literally been looking at it for a few minutes now trying to figure it out. I'm wondering if the structure in the back is ruining it for me. The path being centered usually works, but I'm also wondering what it would do if it were off-centered in this particular image. The colors and contrast are right on. If I were you, I'd try cropping this image a bit differently or retake the image with different variables/perspectives. Keep it up.

I'd have cropped the upper part with the building. Other then this it looks like a nice way to go ^_- Good shot
